Pictures from Campus Progress/Washington DC
Good news! My camera is back from the repair shop! Here are some of my pictures from our performance at Campus Progress, as well as some beautiful pictures of D.C.'s Metro Train Stations. I'd write captions fo all of them but it's too hot, so I'll just leave that up to your imagination.
The Metro Pass. Cute and recyclable.
I asked my friend Zakee who has lived in DC before whether it was safe to take the train and he replied "Hell yeah, it looks like Epcot Center!" As you can see he wasnt lyin'.
Below are pictures at Adams Morgan station, and what looks like a long tunnel is actually the escalators going up. Wayyyyyyy up.
And the view from up top...
The beautiful Omni Shoreham Hotel.
All their electric cords were covered in bunchy satin, which confused me for a little bit.
The hotel was mad old school, they had a shoe shine...
an old tele, that actually worked!
And inside our green room was a real chess set. I guess it helps breaks the tension, if you're going to be speaking to a large crowd such as Campus Progress...
Like the professional artist that she is, Michelle rehearsed...
but I could one think of food. Yummy... Our good friend Paul Fiores was also there and opened the show.
That's him all the way on the left, and that's his big-screen persona. As you can imagine the room was huge, and full of people. That little guy standing off-stage was the sign-language translator.
Paul's set was really good, and the sign-language guy kept up really well. But I was a little woried how he'd do once we got on. Surprisingly, he actually did continue to translate Listen Asshole, and I'm A Woman Not A Flava as fast as we were going. Unfortunately we dont' have any pictures of our performance, but if anyone's out there got a good one, email us!
