ABOUT THE FEATURE POETS:
Rienne Scott: Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rienne Scott was the 2003 Kodjo Poetry Slam Champion, a member of the 2006 and co-coach of the 2007-08 Philly Youth Poetry Slam Team now being featured on HBO's Russell Simmons Presents Brave New Voices. She is currently an English Education major at Lincoln University and President of the campus-based poetry group called I. S.P.I.T. - Infinite Supply of Passionate and Intense Talent. At 22, she writes and performs with pure passion and wants nothing more than to be remembered by her poetry.

Native Son: Native Son (David Ross), voted Poetry for the People Baltimore’s Best all-around poet in 2003, is a resident of Baltimore City, a poet and the author of the book, Speech Impediments. He has humbly inspired audiences through exquisite lyrics since 1997. This award-winning artist delivers a captivating performance - enlightening listeners on cultural, educational, family, political, self love, social, and spiritual issues.
