Transgressions Colloqium, Rider University, 7pm--TOMORROW!

Sorry for another late post . . . Catzie and I are performing at Rider University tomorrow, Thurs, April 7th. The Gender and Sexuality Studies Program is sponsoring their annual colloquium, called Transgressions. The Colloquium composed of a day of workshop sessions, then Catzie and I close out the conference with an hour-long performance. Details are below.

Description: | Gender and Sexuality Studies Program Colloquium "Transgressions": Gender and Sexuality Studies Colloquium Thursday, April 7 11:30 a.m. to1 p.m. Lunch and "Clothesline Project" Daly Dining Hall Mercer Room In Sweigart 115 (Auditorium) 1:1 to 6:45 p.m. Student panels and awards ceremony (3:30 p.m.) 7 to 9 p.m. Yellow Rage "spoken word" performance Dr. Sharon Mirchandani, Associate Professor of Theory and Composition at Westminster Choir College, Westminster College of the Arts, is the 2011 recipient of the Sadie Ziegler-Bernice Gee Award. The award, established in 1986, honors faculty, staff and administrators who have contributed significantly toward ending gender-based discrimination on campus, in their fields, and in their communities. Dr. Mirchandani?s research has focused extensively upon female composers; her book on a prominent American female composer, entitled Marga Richter, is forthcoming from University of Illinois Press. Dr. Mirchandani will receive her award at the Gender and Sexuality Studies Colloquium at the Lawrenceville campus of Rider University at 3:30 p.m. in Sweigart Auditorium. |
